Timed to coincide with the art festival season in Stroud, this workshop will explore visual communication online, including the use of video, photos, memes, gifs, branding and graphics. Part of SIT select festival.
Thursday 17th May 2018, 10am-1pm (3 hours) – The workshop can be paired with the ‘Social Media for Creatives’ workshop that takes place on Thursday 12th April 2018.
The workshops will encompass the following topics:
- What is visual communication?
- What makes a good image?
- What works for you?
- What works on different devices & platforms?
- Managing your media
- Apps you can use
Bring your preferred devices, whether that is a camera, phone, laptop, ipad or paper and pencil. You will be creating something on the day to share online so if you can bring a specific thing or idea you want to share that would be good too.
Requirements: You need to have a reasonable knowledge of how to use your device(s) of choice. And how to navigate the internet!
The workshop is limited to eight participants with two tutors. Workshop will include a range of teas, great coffee and biscuits.
